Dr. Ajit Nair
President, SIRO India

Dr. Ajit Nair is the President for SIRO Clinpharm in India. He provides leadership, vision and direction to the growth of SIRO's operations in India and is focused on creating an efficient and responsive organization to service the growing client pool at SIRO. He also supports the Chief Executive Officer in strategic issues concerning integration across various operational geographies and global delivery mechanisms.

Dr. Nair’s leadership, clinical development insight and operational expertise have strengthened SIRO's culture of innovation, expanded the company's offerings, and has brought new efficiencies, speed, scalability and standardization to the business. His area of focus includes further strengthening client relationships, as well as leveraging SIRO's leadership role in Indian clinical research to support the company's emergence as a leading provider of transnational fast track -optimal cost clinical research solutions.

This is Dr. Nair’s second stint with SIRO. In his current role he joined SIRO from a senior leadership role at Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, a top Indian pharma company where his responsibilities included clinical development of New Chemical Entities (NCE), global CRO management encompassing clinical operations, clinical data management & biometrics and drug safety for clinical studies outsourced. His understanding of the complexities of clinical research in India provides further confidence to the growing list of MNC pharmaceutical and biotech clientele that utilize SIRO’s India services.

Dr. Nair is an active member of the Indian Society for Clinical Research and has led several initiatives for the development of the clinical research sector in India. He is a frequent speaker on issues related to clinical R&D and is a widely recognized subject matter expert on all issues concerning drug development.

Before Glenmark, Dr. Nair served in challenging positions in Clinical Research Operations/Medical Services with Novartis and Wockhardt. Dr. Nair is a pharmacist by training and has a PhD in Pharmacology from Mumbai University.
