Dr. Anand Bidarkar, Vice President, Business Development
Dr. Anand Bidarkar is Vice President of Business Development for SIRO. He leads the sales, marketing, and client relationship management efforts from India and has the responsibility to drive revenue growth across all service divisions at SIRO. Dr. Bidarkar is also responsible for SIRO's continued thrust in developing clients across new geographies in the Asia Pacific region.
Dr. Bidarkar has extensive experience across a wide range of areas in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry, including healthcare IT, biotech, insurance, and pharmaceutical sales. He is a well recognized industry expert and an international speaker on issues related to clinical R&D and outsourcing. He is a co author of a book on clinical research and has several publications to his credit.
Prior to moving in to the business development role, Dr. Bidarkar was responsible for SIRO's joint venture with InVentiv Health and primarily focused on service delivery across several functional areas. He ensured the successful set up of outsourced offshore operations for major multinational companies in India. In his current role, he is focused on delivering cross-selling and integrated solutions to clients that include services across the broader SIRO organization. Under his leadership SIRO client base has expanded to include several top rung global biotech companies and pharmaceutical clients from Asia Pacific and Europe.
Dr. Bidarkar is a dental surgeon and an executive Masters in Business Administration. He has also completed the senior management program from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. He started his career with Apollo Hospitals, and has worked with Sun Pharmaceuticals and Novartis group before joining SIRO.
