SIRO is participating in EUCROF Working Groups

EUCROF (European CROs Federation) is a federation of European national CRO representations. Currently 9 national groups are represented, in total there are more than 250 legal entities of 170 different CROs involved; 2 other countries are represented by a single member CRO. The German representation is BVMA (Federal Association of Medical Contract Organization) where SIRO became member in 2010.

EUCROF is looking for high quality standards of its members and is to promote clinical research of high quality in the European Union. EUCROF is to develop training and educational programs to achieve its goals. For such purposes, working groups have been set up. Currently, 7 working groups have been constituted.

SIRO is cooperating actively in one of the working groups, namely in "Late Phase". SIRO's Director of the Scientific Board, Dr. Horst Nowak, was nominated to participate in meetings and to draft documentation for terminology and regulatory management. Based on his long term experience in clinical development in general and in Biostatistics in special, he definitely brings in SIRO's best expertise in this important EUCROF activity.
