India has a large number of patients in almost every therapeutic area. At SIRO, we have a broad range of experience in almost every key therapeutic area, and in many indications like oncology and ophthalmology, we have probably conducted the largest number of trials by any CRO in India.
Expertise through Experience
SIRO's medical staff and project managers have extensive experience in all the major therapeutic areas. Their expertise helps us in all aspects right from design stage to managing, and analyzing the data from clinical trials for new drugs and devices.
The therapeutic areas in which we have the greatest expertise and experience are oncology, diabetes and metabolic disease, CNS, Infectious diseases, and ophthalmology. In these areas in particular, we offer broad study experience and direct knowledge of study requirements, risk management, and best practice implementation.
SIRO has access to an advisory panel with key experts in each therapeutic area, and well trained and dedicated clinical and medical teams, that regularly keep abreast of the developments in particular therapeutic areas through training sessions and online information. We have experience in delivering on particularly challenging protocols such as a complex infectious disease study that required screening of around 30,000 patients to enroll the targeted number of 200 or an ophthalmology study for USFDA submission that involved insertion of the study drug in to the eye through a catheter every fortnight. We have conducted one of the largest vaccine studies ever in India for a Canadian biotech company and have successfully managed several complex oncology studies many of which had included India as a rescue component. We are the only CRO in India with the experience of studies with radio-markers (radiolabelled antibody) in glioblastoma.
Our extensive experience in diabetes studies has brought us in touch with almost all the potential diabetes sites in India, and we have successfully delivered even in cases of studies with specific diabetes complications. We have worked on studies involving medical devices including cardiac stents and knee prostheses. These examples are just a glimpse in to our diverse therapeutic area expertise. We are confident on our abilities to deliver in all the key therapeutic areas.
